Job description

Are you a skilled IT & Network professional with a strategic mindset and hands-on expertise? We're looking for a proactive and confident engineer to take charge of our IT infrastructure—designing, maintaining, and optimising secure, high-performing systems across our organisation and client environments. If you're passionate about cloud tech, system security, and scalable solutions, this role is for you.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Troubleshooting complex technical issues within Windows environments

  • Managing, monitoring, and optimising cloud services like Office 365 and Azure

  • Designing and documenting robust network architectures

  • Leading or supporting the implementation of infrastructure and cloud projects

  • Partnering with department leads to planning long-term IT strategies

  • Researching and proposing innovative technologies

  • Regularly testing system reliability and failover protocols

  • Delivering clear communication to clients during outages or issues

  • Coaching and guiding junior team members on tools and processes

  • Aligning with management goals and adapting to operational needs

  • Adapt your schedule to meet client demands, including occasional evenings and weekends. 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Configuration and implementation of Cyber Essentials and GDPR security standards.

  • Proficiency in Office 365 Cloud services (Email, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).

  • Experience in network infrastructure maintenance and installations (Routers, Switches, AP’s, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, Firewalls, VLAN’s).

  • Ability to proactively support and collaborate with service providers.

  • Strong understanding and adherence to industry best practices.

  • Expertise in Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022 (including Group Policies, Security Policies, etc).

  • Experience with Azure administration and implementations.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11, and Mac operating systems.

  • Familiarity with different client builds/imaging.

  • Excellent customer support, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to problem-solve and find effective solutions.

  • Work from 08h30 - 17h00 UK time.
